My Voice is a Chorus: Transformation, Inheritance, and Legacy

September 16-18, 2016

Using the unique Family Constellations process as a central approach, this workshop invites writers — of fiction, nonfiction, aspiring and already active — to let their material as well as their purpose become three-dimensional.

Together we step into the fields of imagination that each participant brings in order to locate and to experience the vitality of characters, narrative, and imagery. We also explore how we re-member our own lives, bringing forth the influences of the people close to us and carrying on the voices of the generations who before. What do my ancestors want to say? What will I report to them? What will I, through my writing, leave to the children of the children?

Writing is a transformative process always, turning thought into expression — and sometimes it has the power to heal, both the writer and the receiver.

In the joyful ether of this creative workshop you will learn to:

  • tap into the creative energy that flows through your family system;
  • put that inner critic in his or her place;
  • use Family Constellations process to get unstuck;
  • find your permission to be creative and productive;
  • attune to those who celebrate your voice, and
  • set yourself free from the limitations of others so that you can rediscover the beauty of your own unique voice.
